Project Details

Wiregrass Construction is working on the Montgomery County 1-85 paving project for the Alabama Department of Transportation. This project aims to enhance the transportation infrastructure by adding a southbound auxiliary lane to I-85 South from Taylor Road to Chantilly Parkway.

 To accomplish this, Wiregrass Construction will undertake various tasks, including milling, resurfacing, excavation, aggregate base work, and applying approximately 13.5 inches of asphalt build-up. These efforts will contribute to the smooth traffic flow and improved safety along this section of the highway.

 The addition of the southbound auxiliary lane is expected to alleviate congestion and enhance the overall driving experience for commuters in Montgomery County. It will provide an additional lane for vehicles to merge, enable smoother exits and entrances, and promote better traffic management.
