Summary: The Talent Management Specialist is responsible for a wide variety of HR related tasks within the Area’s geographical footprint including: recruitment, sourcing, on-boarding, HR support, employee relations, performance management, and talent development. This position will partner with other Talent Management Specialists, employees in their assigned geographical area, and corporate colleagues to advance a positive workplace culture and the goals of the department and business.
Duties:
Talent Development
- Develop, maintain, and implement training plans and materials associated with technical and soft skill topics
- Develop work instructions and job aids
- Perform training needs analyses and develop evaluations when necessary
- Track training completion for internal and external training courses
- Perform administrative duties associated with registered and non-registered apprenticeships
- Administer the Learning Management System
Recruitment and Sourcing
- Attend local recruiting events, make job positing requests, and develop recruitment sources
- Screen applicants, schedule interviews, and conduct interviews (as needed)
- Handle correspondence with candidates and monitor drug screening/background check process times
- Participate in meetings with external organizations and associations on behalf of Wiregrass
On-Boarding
- Facilitate and submit new hire paperwork
- Provide new hire orientation briefings and maintain presentation materials
- Facilitate new employee introductions to relevant work groups and managers
HR Support
- Assist area employees with obtaining information regarding compensation, employee relations, benefit information, and performance reviews
- Submit and keep employment records relating to events such as: hiring, terminations, leaves of absence, transfers, and promotions
- Facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements
- Elevate employee relations issues such as: harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns
Performance Management
- Assist managers in the development and tracking of career development plans
- Suggest training interventions and career development considerations
- Analyze competency assessment information for budget planning and individual development planning
- Administer the Performance Management System
Working Conditions:
- Noise level is moderate to high.
- Work environment is in an office settings and areas that are not environmentally controlled, that could be exposed to extreme heat and cold.
Education:
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred)
Experience:
- Ideal candidate should have 1-5 years of experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, and/or Talent Development
- Construction industry experience (preferred)
Other Requirements:
- The ability to travel throughout their assigned region to different job sites and work in a designated office.
- Candidate will be required to live in a commutable distance from their office location.
